Move over Bejeweled, I got a new game app.

Disney lovers have you heard of Tsum Tsum (ツムツム)? It's a popular free Japanese game app that recently became available to play in the United States. I admit that I am hooked on it. It's a simple game with super cute Disney characters that children and adults will enjoy. The goal in each game is to create the longest character chain which will give you more points, but a chain of 3 will also suffice. Collect coins to purchase bonuses or special boxes which contains a random character, each with a different skill that you can use to to help you with your game.

If you can't get enough of the game you might find yourself collecting the stuffed toys! Although these are a little harder to obtain since not ever Disney store carries it. Be sure to give your local Disney store a call to see if they have it, otherwise you can always purchase it online. If you are lucky and live in Japan, they have character plushies such as in Alice in Wonderland, the seven dwarfs, Oswald and more that the U.S. does not have available. They even have Anna, Elsa and Olaf Tsum Tsum in the game with various skills.

Check out the game for both iPhone and Android devices here: http://games.disney.com/tsum-tsum-app

Throwback Thrusday: Wizarding World of Harry Potter

This is summer is all about Harry Potter. It's a very exciting time for fans of the series because of the Diagon Alley expansion at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Orlando opening to the public on July 8, 2014. That's about 3 weeks away! And across the pacific in the land of the rising sun, the version 1 of Wizarding World of Harry Potter will open at Universal Studios Japan on July 15, 2014. Not to be out done by the original Harry Potter park, you can definitely expect to find some new features in Japan that you won't be able to find in Florida. Such as the Black Lake outside of the castle, take a peak inside the Hogwarts Express and have your photo taken with the beautiful interior design, and the restrooms are designed after the ones in the films. If you are a Harry Potter fan like me, definitely check out both theme parks if you get the chance.

This post is a throwback post when I went to the original Wizarding World back when it opened the summer of 2010. One of the most magical time in my life. Just as magical as visiting a Disney theme park, but with it's own charm.

Mom! I made it to Hogsmeade.
 The snowy rooftops of Hogsmeade
 Inside Honeydukes
 Some edible chocolate wands
This place will bring out the child and your sweet tooth with all the fun colors
Chocolate frogs and with famous wizard cards found inside

The owl post is a resting area and you can send a post card stamped with the official postmark
The restroom was next to this and you can hear Moaning Myrtle while doing your business
Hogs Head is where you can get butterbeer and real beer
Voices kept coming from this area
Mmmm frozen butterbeer. You can get 2 types the regular carbonated one or the frozen. Buy the mug and get $0.85 refills around the park.

 Mandatory photo with Hogswart castle
The attraction inside Ollivanders wand shop
The Three Broomsticks won't serve alcohol to even minor wizards

That's all for now stay sweet!

MAC's Maleficent True Love's Kiss

"Lips that shame the red red rose". - Sleeping Beauty

I wanted to rock red lips again after watching Maleficent last night.
This color is called True Love's Kiss from the Maleficent collection released by MAC. I didn't really need another red lipstick since I have another color very similar to this, but I love the finish of this which is something I do not have in my arsenal of lipsticks. I tend to shy away any sort of sheen, gloss or anything that emphasize my lips more on an already bold color because my lips are naturally full. By wearing a bold lipstick color the attention is already on my lips, no gloss or sheen is needed. However, True Love's Kiss has a slight "quiet" sheen that I thought I would not like but I love it!
This one is a keep for me.

Con season

It was con season. Being an anime and manga junkie, I love gatherings like these where different people come together to share the same love. Whether it is music, cosplay, games, toy collecting and so much more!

FanimeCon loves bringing rock acts to MusicFest and I can't complain with that. Rock music are the best live.
With 7!! Pronounced as Seven Oops. Their music has been featured in animes like Naruto Shippuden and Kimi to Boku. Check out their website to get a closer look about the band and their music.
Website: http://7oops.com
ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D was the first act of the night and they were amazing! They played songs Bleach, Ao no Exorcist (Blue Exorcist) and Durarara!! They are more of a alternative rock band than 7!! which is more pop rock. ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D will be in the U.S. again for AnimeNEXT.
I got an anime portrait of myself done at Japan Expo. So this is how I look in anime form.

My next con visit is San Diego Comic Con and it will be my first time so I'm really looking forward to it.

Happy Valentine Fooding

This is another one of my fooding adventure entry. The monthly menu for February at Lisa's Tea Treasures was called Fairy Tale Tea! It was just too cute of a concept to pass up. Here is what they offered:

Prince Charming's Passion: romantic blend of Ceylon black tea, pineapple, mango, papaya, kiwi and strawberry
Cinderella's Scone: served with devonshire cream and preserves
Beauty and the Beast: Mushroom Truffle Risotto - a mixed mushroom risotto seasoned with chardonnay, parmesan cheese and white truffle oil in a buttery phyllo dough. Gorgonzola Cranberry Puff-forgonzola cheese, crushed walnuts and cranberries in a pastry shell, accented with a goat cheese rosette and ruby red cranberry.
Princess' Tea Sandwiches: Rapunzel's classic egg salad. Aurora's strawberries and cream cheese. Little Mermaid's lemon cucumber hearts.
Snow White's Love Apple: apple shaped pastry filled with green apple puree, fromage frais cream and speculoos crumbs, covered in a raspberry glaze.

Valentine's Day is here~ I was inspired to make this for Pooky.
He surprised me with a lovely fancy dinner at Le Papillon
Obligated picture with my pretty dessert~ It's a fresh berry corbeille.

{Wedding} Spotlight: Naked Cakes

Naked cakes (or un-iced cakes) are all the rage if you are not a big fan of frosting or fondant.
You can still have the filling of your choice between each layer just minus that clawingly sweet coating. You can dress the cake up by adding a few flowers. These cakes would be perfect for a casual, rustic, vintage, DIY or country theme weddings in my opinion. Although your wedding theme maybe not be any of the ones mentioned, that should not stop you from considering this type of cake for your special day. Even celebrity, Hilary Duff, dipped her knife in a 3-tiered naked cake for her wedding.

What do you think of this untradtional trend?
